11 years ago today was Beckett’s first open heart surgery. As the kids are getting older, it’s been even more meaningful to explain the miracle of Beckett’s journey with them.
After talking through the surgery, Milo and Declan hugged Beckett, told him they love him and that they are happy he’s their older brother.
Yes, they do fight as brothers…but their brotherly-bond is noticeably growing every day. I love my kids. And we love you, Beckett! ❤️ We are so grateful for all these years we’ve been given with you.

Thank you for sharing that story about the boys. It is so special to see them connect on a deep level. We love you Beckett and we are so proud of you! You are a very brave boy who is growing into a young man quickly. I can’t believe that it’s his last year in Elementary too! Thank you Lord for Becketts life. Please continue to put your angels over him and protect him in many ways.
Who knew that as we were praying for Beckett. We would be facing the same thing in our family four years later. God is so good to allow us to have these children for as long as He deams . We are so glad we have Jesus to help us to realize our problems could be worse! Because of His love we can have peace!!!
