Beckett’s Journey

-we’ve come a long ways-

(take note: somewhat “graphic”)

Also, a big thanks to my brother Joshua Rupp for putting this together for Beckett’s Benefits. — with Leah ‘Whiteley’ Rupp at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital.

Benefit Thanks!

Thank you to everyone who has given, supported, encouraged, and waited in love with Jonathan, Leah, and Beckett. God has continued to supply all their needs through you.

This past weekend was busy with three different benefit events (Gaylord, MI, Archbold, OH, and Upland, IN). Each event was a testimony to God’s grace and the power of the Body of Christ. Probably one of the coolest features of the nights was having Beckett and Leah live via FaceTime.  Beckett truly was the star of the show.  It was great to see so many come out.  The events were a great success and the money that was raised will greatly ease the financial burden of Beckett’s journey. Thank you again to everyone who gave!

A huge thanks as well to everyone who helped pull off the events.  You know who you are.  You deserve a huge thank you for all you poured into these events.  You demonstrated so much love by what you did.  Thank you!

Benefit Dinner & Concert in Gaylord, MI

In Gaylord, Michigan we have been following Beckett’s story because Uncle Joshua and Aunt Julia live up here with cousins Abigael and Brayden. We want to do our part to help so we’ve created a benefit dinner and concert on Friday night Feb 22nd from 5-8 pm at the Gaylord E-Free church. If everything goes as planned, we might even get to see a live streaming video of Beckett and his parents! All of us here have been continually praying for this miracle baby, and it is exciting to celebrate his life in this way. GO BECKETT!!

Benefit Fund

Hello Friends!

Thank you for your continued support of Jonathan, Leah, and Beckett.  We wanted to let you know that a benefit fund has been established on their behalf that you can contribute to financially if you’d like to.  Many of you have already expressed your support by giving online. For those who still want to give but online is not a desired method, checks can be mailed using the information below. As well, don’t forget the Benefit Silent Auction, Meal, and Concert coming up on February 23. We hope you can come! Donations will help to cover extra nights in Indianapolis, food and travel expenses to and from the hospital, ongoing doctors visits, and any unpaid deductibles and medical costs.

Again, thanks for all your encouragement and prayers.  I know Jonathan, Leah, and Beckett wouldn’t be able to make it through without the great support of their family, friends, and well-wishers. Thank you!

Let us know if you have any questions or need anything.

UPDATE (1/14/13)

As you may have noticed in the picture I posted earlier today, Beckett did have his chest officially closed. Though his stats have been very good since then, he has had some “minor” bleeding from his chest. The doctors and nurses are keeping an eye on it though, so…for now, please keep that in mind and in your prayers…
Leah and I are continually humbled by so many of you being creative and thoughtful in ways to support and encourage us, and we cannot be more appreciative. Even just the consistent response and support here on Facebook has been wonderful and very uplifting. I’ve even had a few people write Beckett a song (how cool is that?!). Just earlier tonight, my amazing brother sent me a song he has been working on for Beckett, and I just couldn’t help but share it with the rest of you. He’s extremely talented, and literally has a heart of gold (Love you Joshua Rupp). Please check it out (if you have the chance), and as always…thank you so much for your prayers, support and concern for my precious son!
