UPDATE (3/5/13)
As you may have read in last night’s post, Beckett was reintubated yesterday. This morning I attempted to join my cohort on a field trip to The Offices of the Indiana Commission for Higher Education in downtown Indy. I was able to be ‘present’ for about an hour until Leah called me to say Beckett’s heart rate is decreasing. I guess the doctors, cardiologist and our surgeon are going to meet up to discuss what to do next. The neonatologist said that its rare to see a HLHS baby come back from the PICU and struggle as much as Beckett has (#HardTruth, but not very encouraging). So I ran back to the hospital to be with Leah and Beckett. And here we sit….waiting once again….while the fate of our son is inevitably (and more apparent then ever) out of our hands.
‘Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’

Oh Jesus, be near. Rescue Beckett once again. Father, hold his sweet parents. Comfort their hurting and scared hearts.

I cannot even begin to imagine what you two are going through as you have to sit by and watch your son struggle. Every part of a parent wants to protect their child from any harm and wants to fight the fight for them…and none of us can. His love for Beckett is fierce and strong and I know that comforts you but it doesn’t remove your pain and longing for Beckett to be completely healed.

Crying and praying for you guys.

Please Lord keep your healing hands upon Beckett. Show us once again your awesome ability 2 perform miracles. Bring soothing comfort over Beckett’s family. Strengthen the desire for hope. I ask all this in Jesus name….
    Amen

    Mark 6:5 NIV

He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.

  3. Sharon Crigger-Stokan says:

God, we are asking…no pleading for your healing touch on Beckett’s life and for your comfort, wisdom, strength and courage for Beckett’s mom and dad and grandparents. Please touch Beckett’s little body, right now, dear Lord Jesus.
